An awards ceremony recognising the achievements of a few of Wales’ most outstanding girls has seen honours bestowed on girls from throughout the nation.
The Chwarae Teg Womenspire Awards 2022 was again with a bang final evening (29.9.22), with a hybrid ceremony for the primary time ever! After two years on-line as a result of pandemic, the occasion happened on the Pierhead Constructing in Cardiff Bay, while being streamed throughout ITV Cymru Wales’ Fb Stay and Twitter.
An actual celebratory event, Womenspire showcased the achievements of its finalists – outstanding girls from all walks of life, who’ve made unimaginable variations to their very own lives and the lives of others.
The largest winner on the evening was Emily Nicole Roberts from Pontarddulais who, as a younger girl with cerebral palsy, has taken it upon herself to encourage, educate and assist others dwelling with disabilities. She obtained the Rising Star Award in addition to the general title of Womenspire Champion 2022 having impressed the judges with advocacy work and her humorous and informative YouTube movies.
Emily began recording herself when she realised that there was a scarcity of sensible info available for disabled individuals. She set about making ‘find out how to’ movies which present disabled folks that they’ll do all the pieces that able-bodied individuals can.
