Minister To Reverse Scrapping Free Remembrance Companies Prepare Journey For Veterans


The transport secretary is to reverse a call to scrap free practice journey for navy veterans to attend remembrance companies.

On Friday night, the Guardian reported the federal government was mentioned to have revoked the supply, beforehand funded by the general public purse in 2021, as a result of the associated fee to the taxpayer can be “too nice”.

Former transport secretary Grant Shapps had mentioned ministers ought to “urgently” assessment the choice.

“Our navy veterans have given of themselves to guard us all,” he mentioned.
