I walked again, most likely alongside Victory Place, to Rodney Highway after which down Larcom Road, making my strategy to Charleston St, taking {a photograph} (not on-line) alongside this from its Brandon Road finish wanting in the direction of the church earlier than strolling right down to take extra photos across the church.

The Anglican Church of St John the Evangelist was constructed right here when the property was being developed in 1859-60. District Surveyor Henry Jarvis was architect for this gothic church in Kentish Ragstone, and its sacristy was added in 1912 by Greenaway and Newberry. Each have been Grade II listed in 1998, 9 years after I made this image.

The college buildings simply to the west of the church date from round 1866. Falling rolls led to the closure of the varsity in August 2021.
