The Cooperative Institute for Analysis in Environmental Sciences (CIRES), in Boulder, Colorado, is searching for to rent a extremely motivated and expert Analysis Scientist (RS) to guide NOAA’s higher atmospheric water vapor measurement program. Presently, this program consists of systematic balloon-borne soundings with NOAA frost level hygrometers (FPHs) at 4 globally dispersed websites: Boulder, Colorado; Hilo, Hawaii; Lauder, New Zealand, and Réunion Island. The profitable applicant is inspired to proactively search out analysis alternatives past the scope of atmospheric monitoring, equivalent to externally funded collaborative work like scientific campaigns that make the most of instrumented balloons, high-altitude plane and/or satellite tv for pc platforms.

The profitable applicant will work throughout the Ozone and Water Vapor (OZWV) division, part of the World Monitoring Laboratory of NOAA’s Earth System Analysis Laboratories (https://gml.noaa.gov/). GML’s major mission is to quantify and perceive modifications in atmospheric composition throughout the globe by means of the creation and upkeep of extremely correct and exact long-term measurement information.
