Canine hailed a lifesaver for hauling proprietor out of a dashing truck’s path


A DOG was hailed as a lifesaver for hauling her proprietor out of the trail of a dashing truck.

Boxer-staffie Orla bolted when she heard a Toyota Hilux hurtling in the direction of Kimberley Bridges, 35 at 70mph as they strolled on the pavement.

Telecoms employee Kimberley stated: “The truck hit an island then clipped one other automobile.

“I used to be frozen in terror and felt the wing mirror brush my bum

“Orla simply pegged it and took me along with her.

“She saved my life.”


Kimberley, of Castleford, West Yorks, added: “Half an hour later and the pavement would have been filled with schoolkids.”

The truck was dumped in close by Pontefract.
