Big 6.0 magnitude earthquake strikes close to Crete sparking pressing tsunami warning

TSUNAMI warnings have been points throughout elements of Crete following an enormous earthquake.

Warnings have been issued for Irakleion and Sitia after seismologists registered a magnitude six quake within the space.

“Following the #earthquake (#σεισμός) M6.0 occurred 60 km NE of #Siteía (#Greece) 20 min in the past (native time 01:25:00),” the impartial Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) tweeted.

“Transfer away from the coast and attain the next place. Comply with nationwide authorities’ directives.”

The earthquake is alleged to have taken place at 1.25am native time and struck at a depth of 80 km (49.71 miles), EMSC mentioned.
