Ship us your questions for Michael Head

It’s 40 years since beloved Liverpool romantics The Pale Fountains loved their sole brush with the charts. “Thank You” reached No. 48 in November 1982, establishing a sample of agonising near-misses and poignant almost-fame that frontman Michael Head would repeat together with his subsequent bands Shack and The Strands.

However then this 12 months, one thing unusual occurred: Head’s terrific new album with The Pink Elastic Band, Expensive Scott, broke into the UK High 10 – deserved reward for many years of heart-tugging baroque pop that introduced the streets of Kenny (AKA Kensington, Liverpool) to life as vividly as these of LA or San Francisco.

So this would appear a fairly good time to collar Mr Head and ask him something you need about his circuitous path to the highest and the various nice songs he’s given us alongside the way in which. Ship your inquiries to audiencewith@uncut.co.uk by Monday (October 17) and he’ll reply the perfect ones within the subsequent concern of Uncut.
