The O’Neill College of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana College – Bloomington seeks candidates for an open rank (tenured/superior tenure-track), college place in terrestrial pure or nature-based local weather options for forest, agricultural and/or wetland ecosystems. These methods embrace, however will not be restricted to, reforestation and prevented deforestation, agricultural practices like cowl cropping and biochar amendments, enhanced rock weathering, and/or wetland restoration and conservation. We encourage functions from students whose analysis investigates the bodily and/or social components that decide the potential of those methods to extend ecosystem carbon uptake and storage, to scale back pure emissions of greenhouse gasses, and/or to allow resilient and adaptive administration into the longer term. Profitable candidates could conduct analysis that spans a number of spatial or temporal scales, and that makes use of a various set of instruments and approaches, together with area and laboratory measurements, network-enabled synthesis, agent-based and/or ecosystem modeling and forecasting, distant sensing, interviews and surveys, and financial analyses and modeling.
