There’s been a homicide within the backyard! A beheading. Sunflower stems left naked. Thursday they had been waving within the breeze and on Friday they had been gone! Gone I say! The remainder of the sunflowers are all affright, holding tightly onto their yellow bonnets. I used to be about to name within the sniffing companies of subsequent door’s pug, after I noticed a clue! A scattering of husks and a path throughout the turf – aha! The Robin blew the whistle on them, the Magpie pointed a wing – ‘It’s them’, it squawked. ‘Murderers’, I mumbled as Mr and Mrs Squirrel scurried alongside the fence as soon as extra.
Now the place had been we? Are sure, a civilised tour of the backyard you say?
First image beneath is of a pink and white ‘Christmas Flowering Cacti’ which is flowing now! I haven’t seen this color earlier than, however I’m so glad that I inherited this plant from a relative.
Second image is of a few of the Pansies and Violas, now potted on after arriving as tiny plug crops.
Third picture is of some late flowering busy lizzies. I’ve taken cuttings to over winter for subsequent 12 months’s inventory. All my busy lizzies this 12 months, had been from cuttings that I took from mom crops which I stored going all final 12 months.
