Mid February and I’ve eventually discovered six crops that give us a little bit of hope for issues to come back.
Let’s get to it earlier than the nippiness wind and boring days return.
Curly leafed Rhubarb is poking its head out and braving the nippiness. Whereas this lone Viola will hopefully encourage some extra to bloom. Not far-off is its cousin the Violet making itself comfy in a crack within the paving.
My Mexican Hat Plant is flowering—though I’ve learn that it could die as soon as it has flowered— giving us tiny pastel colored tubular flowers. It’s been serious about flowering for a lot of weeks now and I’ve obtained a number of off-spring from it.
The Primroses are starting together with the Polyanthus and I simply noticed this Doronicum—Little Leo— which I imagine is also called Leopard’s Bane, popping a petal or two bravely out to check the waters as they are saying!
Joyful Gardening,
Rosie
